Width and screen rating differ. Ameriwood Carson is narrower than Article Candra but rated for a larger screen.
For a narrower cabinet, Carson has the higher screen rating. Your TV's weight and foot spacing must suit the stand.

Screen diagonals do not describe where the feet land
Furniture widths range from 47 to 80 in, from Nathan James' Mina to the wider West Elm Mid-Century and Crate & Barrel Tate consoles. Maker maximum screen-size figures span 55 to 85 in where supplied. A television's diagonal does not give you its foot spacing: measure the feet and their depth against the usable support surface.
Whalen's Payton includes a mount, while Article's Candra does not. Use the mount's own compatibility instructions if you choose that arrangement. This guide compares furniture dimensions and maker limits without assembling a television onto any stand.
Find the load limit for the surface you will use
Weight limits span 66 to 200 lb across 16 stands with load data. IKEA's FJÄLLBO and LACK carry the lower figure; West Elm's Mid-Century carries the higher figure. Modway's Transmit has no load limit in this comparison, so its width cannot fill that gap.
Read what the maker's limit applies to before adding a TV, receiver and other equipment. Shelves can have separate limits. Follow any supplied anti-tip and anchoring instructions, especially where children can reach the furniture.
An equipment bay needs access as well as storage
Article's Candra has doors, while IKEA's LACK has open shelving. A shelf count cannot tell you whether a receiver fits or whether its ventilation space is adequate. Compare interior openings, door access and cable routes with the equipment's own clearance instructions before choosing enclosed storage.
Before you buy
Which stand includes a TV mount?
Whalen Payton 3-in-1 states an included TV mount and stands 55 in tall. Fifteen other stands state no mount; Modway Transmit has no mount detail here. This comparison does not identify a wall-mount subtype. Follow the exact stand's mounting and installation instructions.
What TV weight limits do the stands give?
IKEA LACK and FJÄLLBO each give a 66 lb limit; West Elm Mid-Century gives 200 lb. Sixteen stands have load limits, while Modway Transmit does not. These are maker limits, not evidence that a similarly sized cabinet can carry the same load. Article Candra is 71 in wide and rated for a 65 in screen; Ameriwood Carson is 63 in wide and rated for 70 in.
How much open or closed storage is included?
Sixteen stands give shelf and door counts. IKEA LACK has one shelf; Walker Edison Wren and BDI Corridor 8173 each have six. Five stands, including IKEA BESTÅ and Whalen Payton, state no doors. Modway Transmit has neither count here; cabinet width alone cannot tell you the storage arrangement.
