How the comparison works

Your choices are compared with each model’s product details. A missing or conflicting value stays unknown and cannot satisfy a choice you select. The starting order helps you browse; it does not rate real-world performance.

Source dates appear with each link below. A source date does not confirm today's price or stock.

Sealed batteries and plug-in power need different plans

All 10 detectors have power descriptions. Detector power and connection documentation is the source, with no alarm-response or interconnection measurements. First Alert offers sealed-battery and plug-in-with-backup designs, while X-Sense includes models with replaceable batteries. Choose a power arrangement that suits the intended installation, then follow the exact detector's placement and power instructions. A power-source label does not specify compatibility with alarms already in your home.

An app alert is not an interconnection specification

Connection descriptions are supported for 8 detectors. X-Sense distinguishes standalone, Wi-Fi app alerts, a required base station and wireless interconnection. These descriptions should not be treated as interchangeable alarm systems. Find the exact compatible-model list and connection instructions before adding a detector to existing alarms, and use its own service-life and battery-replacement instructions.

Before you buy

Does this table compare how quickly the alarms detect CO?

No. It compares hardware and connection features without assigning a detection-performance score. This table covers ten CO-only alarm models; detection performance isn't compared.

Does a smart alarm necessarily interconnect with every other alarm?

No compatibility is inferred. The table distinguishes app alerts, a named base-station requirement and wireless interconnection; check the maker’s exact compatibility information. Check whether the exact model's connection mode needs a base station. Choose sealed-battery, replaceable-battery or plug-in power. Battery replaceability differs from service life. For connected alarms, a base station can be required. Follow the exact model's replacement information; this comparison cannot determine installation compliance.

Why do two connection fields say not listed?

Their fetched product pages did not clearly establish a connection mode. The finder leaves those values unknown.
