Neither Umbra has a screen. Acaia's Umbra and Umbra Duo pair with another Acaia scale or a phone app.
Skip them if you want an on-scale reading; their capacities are 1,000 and 1,500 g, against 2,000 g on eight other scales.

Your choices are compared with each model’s product details. A missing or conflicting value stays unknown and cannot satisfy a choice you select. The starting order helps you browse; it does not rate real-world performance.

Acaia Umbra supports 1000 g, Umbra Duo 1500 g, and Lunar 2000 g. Across the 10 scales, capacities run from 1000 to 2000 g. Capacity, dimensions and power-source information describe the scales here; weighing accuracy, timer behavior and water resistance were not assessed. The vessel, water and coffee all belong in the load comparison. A capacity figure does not describe precision, response speed or how the display behaves while you pour.
The drip tray decides fit; power decides upkeep
Acaia Lunar and Pearl both support 2000 g, yet their dimension descriptions differ: Pearl needs a larger platform footprint. Compare the dimensions with your drip tray or brewing stand rather than using capacity as a size proxy. Wacaco Exagram uses AAA batteries; Exagram Pro is rechargeable. Hario Barista Glass also uses AAA batteries, while the power source is unknown here for Hario Drip and POLARIS. Keep spills and cleaning within the selected scale's care guidance.
Before you buy
Does taring a heavy carafe use up the scale's capacity?
It does. Tare zeroes the number on the screen, but the scale is still carrying the carafe, so the server and the water together have to stay under its maximum. A heavy glass server uses up that headroom faster than a light plastic one. Wacaco's Exagram Pro has the smallest top at 90 x 95 mm, about a third of Acaia Pearl's 160 mm square top.
Is 0.1 g readability the same across the whole range?
Not on every model. Wacaco's Exagram Pro reads in 0.1 g steps below 1 kg and 1 g steps from 1 to 2 kg, the Exagram changes step at the same load, and Hario's V60 Drip Scale gets coarser at higher loads. Hario also says the V60 Drip Scale isn't water resistant, so keep it clear of spills.
Why is the power source blank for two Hario scales?
The V60 Drip Scale and POLARIS pages don't say how they're powered, so both drop out as soon as you choose rechargeable or AAA. Of Hario's three scales here, the Barista Glass Scale is the one that names its power source. Six scales are rechargeable, Hario's Barista Glass Scale and Wacaco Exagram take two AAA batteries, and two Hario pages don't say.
