Start with where you need it. Pitchers like the LifeStraw Home and PUR Plus are rated for 40 gal per filter; the whole-house Aquasana EQ-1000 is rated for 1,000,000 gal.
Stages won’t show what’s removed: the ZeroWater pitcher has 5, the Waterdrop 15UA one.

Your choices are compared with each model’s product details. A missing or conflicting value stays unknown and cannot satisfy a choice you select. The starting order helps you browse; it does not rate real-world performance.
Source dates appear with each link below. A source date does not confirm today's price or stock.
Brita's Tahoe Elite is a pitcher, Culligan's Faucet Mount attaches at a tap and Aquasana's Rhino treats a whole-house supply. Those are different installation decisions before you compare any flow figure. Waterdrop's Tankless Reverse Osmosis System needs no storage tank; APEC's Essence reverse-osmosis system calls for a tank.
All 20 products identify an installation type, including pitchers, under-sink filters, whole-house systems, reverse-osmosis, faucet and countertop products. Flow and replacement figures across those arrangements do not describe interchangeable workloads or cartridge schedules.
A contaminant menu and a certification flag do not supply the full conditions of a reduction claim. For Brita's Tahoe Elite, Aquasana's Claryum or another chosen system, locate supporting documentation for the exact cartridge and the substance you want reduced. This comparison reads source claims without analysing filtered water.
Do not transfer a claim between products from the same maker or treat the number of filtration stages as proof of greater protection. The supporting standard, capacity conditions and replacement cartridge matter more than the length of a substance list.
Storage volume is known for 5 filters. APEC's Essence has 4 gal and Home Master's Artesian Full Contact has 3.2 gal. Those figures describe storage, whereas cartridge-life gallons describe a replacement interval under particular conditions. Neither is a flow-rate measurement.
Missing capacity does not tell you how much water a system holds. Read the exact cartridge and replacement schedule before estimating upkeep, and check the maker's explanation where a cartridge-life figure appears inconsistent with the product description.
No, it’s about volume rather than time. The Brita Tahoe’s Elite filter is rated for 120 gal and the Frizzlife under-sink system for 1,600 gal; how fast you use that up can vary a lot by household, so follow the maker’s replacement schedule too. For a contaminant, go by the model’s certification and reduction claims.
Twelve do, including every under-sink and whole-house system and five of the six reverse-osmosis units. The AquaTru Classic countertop unit, the pitchers, the Berkey and the Culligan faucet mount don’t, and four reverse-osmosis systems also need a storage tank.
Of the 12 that give a rate, the slowest are two reverse-osmosis units, the APEC ROES-50 and Home Master TMAFC, while whole-house systems run 7 to 15 gpm. Compare flow only within the same format.
